Export Africa 2005 is the first multi-sectoral export exhibition which will showcase South African and African exporters and manufacturers to key buyers and potential trading partners from across the globe.

It aims to support the vision and principles of NEPAD through building the export capacity of South African companies, promoting South African and African exports to the rest of the world, and growing inter-African trade in order to facilitate faster economic growth on the continent.

Standard Bank, trading as Stanbic Bank in many countries within Africa are the major sponsor of Export Africa and the highest level of support has been secured from the South African Department of Trade and Industry (the dti). Standard Bank and the dti view this initiative as an important opportunity to profile the export potential of South Africa and participating African countries and have committed support and resources to assist in securing the success of this important event.

Traders from throughout Africa will exhibit their products and services, and global buyers and investors will have the opportunity to explore Africa’s export trading potential and export services industry.

South African coastlines are full of marine life such as sharks and dolphins, with more than 2000 different species visiting the area at some stage during the year.
